I worked for Crystal Art when it began in a small corner shop in High Town Road in 1984. Only 2 employees worked there at the beginning. Myself and Marie. Later others joined . It all began with Frank Ross and Barry Ross. Not related. Our first make was an oyster holding a ‘pearl’ . We then moved to Selbourne Road as the company expanded. We were sold on QVC a shopping channel on TV. Selling abroad to the NAAFI in the Falklands where hundreds of tiny penguins for service personnel who bought them for their loved ones back in th UK..
